Mallard Computer, Inc., and WeatherMallard announced it is in the process of finishing up a transition of both its internal and its web design clients to MacAce Ltd. The transition will allow Mallard Computer and WeatherMallard to centralize all of its web hosting infrastructure under a single provider, while laying a solid foundation for future growth and expansion of its web-related assets.
“Our top executives are full-time Mac, iPhone, and iPad users, including myself” said Nathan Parker, Mallard Computer’s President/CEO. “We wanted to choose a web hosting provider that would provide us with solid integration with our use of Apple’s ecosystem, as well as reduce the amount of IT management needed to keep ours and our clients’ websites and email systems running smoothly.”
Mallard Computer chose MacAce Quadra SE to power the websites at http://mallardcomputer.com and its weather division’s (WeatherMallard) weather community website, http://weatherquack.com. Both websites are backed with 100% uptime and are fully managed, reducing the need for Mallard to be involved in regular maintenance of the web hosting backend for their company websites. Mallard Computer also chose MacAce Centris email to power its company email systems, moving away from Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online. Mallard’s larger web design clients will be hosted on Quadra SE and Centris email as well, with smaller clients being hosted on cPack Lite, cPanel-based web hosting accounts.
Parker went onto discuss “the migrations have been going well, and the MacAce support team has worked overtime to ensure both I and my clients were pleased with the transition. Anytime normal kinks surfaced during the migration which always happens no matter how hard one plans for migrations, the MacAce team stepped up and quickly resolved them to ensure the migrations completed with as little downtime and issues as possible, and they’ve backed our company and our clients’ websites with the best support I’ve seen in the industry. If there was ever such a service such as an ‘iCloud Pro’ for web hosting, this would be it. They handle all of the heavy lifting for us and allow us to focus on what matters most with our company websites and our clients’ websites. I couldn’t be more pleased to work with such a fine team powering our company infrastructure, and I look forward to sending future clients to the MacAce family.”
